About Us:
We live on a farm near Shoal Creek in Southwest Missouri.  Therefore our title became
"SHOAL CREEK KENNELS".

I have always loved dogs, ever since I was a little girl, helping my grandmother in her dog kennel; I also had the desire to raise dogs.  Not being sure, and my husband not knowing anything about breeding dogs, we started out small and have grown over the years.  Just because this website shows many different breeds if you take the time to look you will see puppies are not listed under each different breed.  I also work with another breeder who also puts her puppies on my website.  So though we may look really big, please remember to take a good look at how many puppies I actually have listed.
Working with the dogs and having puppies is just like getting birthday presents, you don't know how many you'll get or what they'll look like.  It is always an exciting time.

The whole family enjoys our business and because it is a family business, all of our breeding dogs have been chosen for their superior blood lines resulting in quality puppies for you.  We love our dogs and know you will love and enjoy the puppy you buy from us.
A Note to all my potential customers:
Under no circumstances will I hold a puppy without a deposit.    You can not speak for a puppy and have me hold it without putting down a deposit.  Please see "To Purchase" for more details.

For those of you who read this and still have your doubts, this is what we want to ask YOU.  Do you know us?  Have you ever been to our kennel or seen our dogs?  Do you know how hard we work to care for our dogs and how much money we spend to maintain them and our kennel?  Do you know how many times we get out of bed in the middle of night to check on a new mom and feed new babies?  Do you know that we spend 24/7 doing this? Some times an entire day/night is spent in the kennel caring for mom and newborns.  Do you know how many trips we make to our vet or how many trips he makes here so we can provide medical care?  Do you know that we also cry to when we lose one of our dogs/puppies?  Do you know that our dogs and kennel are inspected throughout the year by the USDA, our state, and our vet. Do you know that we are licensed by the USDA(United States Department of Agriculture) Animal Welfare Act. Don't prejudge us or our kennel.  We are who you should buy your puppy from.  We are professionals.

POLICY CHANGE:
Dew-claws and Hernias
Dew-claws will only be removed if I feel it is not going to jeopardize the litter.  Numerous times I have lost part or most of a litter from messing with mommy's babies in the first three days.  It simply is not worth it to me.  Hernias I will only have repaired if my vet feels it might cause a health problem.  80% of Hernia's repair themselves by the time they are 6 months old.  I see no reason unless my vet thinks it could cause a health issue to repair them.  I sell PETS that is it, I will not jeopardize them just to make a perfect puppy when they are already perfect puppies without jeopardizing there life's.
Microchip placement and registration
Previously I placed the chip and sent the customer the registration information.  It cost the customer $20.00 to register the chip in their name.  I have gotten called when a puppy got lost because the registration was not filed in the new owners name.
The new policy is: My veterinarian will place the chip in the puppy, scan the chip, and register the chip number in the new owners name for an additional fee of $15.00.  This actually saves you $5.00

PROSPECTIVE PUPPY OWNER QUESTI0NAIR: This is optional
We would like you to fill out this questionnaire, as it gives us insight on what the puppy's new home will be like, but if you prefer not to fill it out that is fine as well.
For the health and welfare of your new puppy, you and your family must be 100% prepared for the new puppy and understand the standards that are set, before you receive the puppy.

I want to put this up before anything else you read.  I am a animal lover, not just a breeder and  though we hope for perfect healthy babies every time, sometimes it just does not happen.  I do have some puppies that have a issue or defect sometimes that are sweet loving babies.  They need good homes to.  Therefore, I will offer these babes to a qualifying owner at no charge.  You will just have to take care of the travel arrangements.  I do not believe just because they might have something wrong with them that they don't deserve the happy life a perfect baby would get.  I love them all and wish I could keep them all, but I can not keep so many to the point that it would take away from all of them getting the care that they deserve.  If you are interested feel free to email me at tammy@sckpuppies.com to see if you are eligible and if I have any puppies available.
